Refreshed Waste Management Strategy ratified by local councils

Councils in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent have ratified a refresh of the Joint Municipal Waste Management Strategy, outlining the strategic direction for local waste management across the county. All ten councils in Staffordshire have participated in refreshing the strategy resulting in a new direction for local waste management up to 2020, after achieving original targets ahead

What’s going on at SWP?

Staffordshire Waste Partnership has progressed significantly in the last few years – originally an informal agreement between the councils in Staffordshire to work together on waste issues, the Partnership has developed into a more formal recognition of collaboration. Communication Officers for SWP advanced joint messages between the councils, to develop singular messages on key issues.
